Kengo was born in Osaka, Japan and spent his childhood years in California. After years of working in consumer loans he set up his own consumer loan company in 1996. After winding it up due to changes in regulations that made his business more challenging, he decided to explore global markets, finally deciding on Cambodia in 2008, investing into the agricultural market. After moving to Cambodia in 2009, on the strength of his experiences, he set up AGRIBUDDY, the global platform for distributed farming. His vision is that of millions of empowered, efficient and competitive small farmers in the developing world.
Born in Fukushima, Japan, in 1984, Keita is self proclaimed gadget otaku who loves to travel around the world in search of good food. He loves all kinds of food but lately, he seems to have developed a particular liking for Indian cuisine with its fragrant curries and tandoori grilled meats. Majoring in Computer Science, he graduated from the Tokyo University of Technology. Keita started off his career as a Systems Engineer in 2007, and now 9 years later, he joined AGRIBUDDY as a Development Manager, leading a team of experienced engineers in design, test, and the development of the software.
Rajesh is an alumnus of the prestigious Indian Institute of Management Bangalore and has a degree in Computer Science and an abiding interest in too many things to list. His experience spans several sectors, ranging from Advertising and PR to Infrastructure Finance, Renewable Energy to Mining and of course, Information Technology. His role in AGRIBUDDY is to help develop the product and the organisation and work on its expansion into the entire Asian region.
Aki serves on the directors of AGRIBUDDY and brings to the company extensive knowledge in finance and business development. Aki is also the Managing Director of Scentan Ventures, a venture capital firm based in Tokyo / Singapore that invests in innovative technology companies worldwide. Before Scentan Aki was the Managing Director of IgnitionOne a global marketing technology company. Prior to iOne Aki was SVP of International business at livedoor overseeing the company's global M&A and investment strategies
Naho Shigeta is a Director of Agribuddy, spearheading our operations in India, one of the highest-growth markets in the world. She joins us with a wealth of experience in diverse fields combined with a flair for multi-national entrepreneurship. Since 2006, she has been the Founder and CEO of Infobridge Holdings Group Ltd., a Hong Kong based company that has set up several companies in India in order to bring about closer cooperation and relationships between Indian and Japanese companies, as well as expand markets for Japanese companies in India. Ms. Shigeta has also worked in China on setting up operations that grew an IT-based market research company from 3 to 400 employees over a six-year period. A graduate of Tokyo University she specializes in managing multi-cultural teams, and is happiest while setting up commercial relationships between companies from different countries.
Thaisan Ly grew up near the Bakong temple in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Since childhood he had loved the idea of working with a computer but it wasn’t until high school that he actually got to touch one. Thaisan went to study at Build Bright University in 2010 where he studied Information Technology and finally got a computer of his own. He is now the go-to man for any computer issues at AGRIBUDDY and tackles every challenge with the smile that comes from truly enjoying the work.
1991, born in Nghe An, Viet Nam. Long worked as a freelance developer on mobile application. Completed Post and Telecommunication Institute of Technology with Telecommunication bachelor's degree on 2014. He won several awards in Mobile Application Development Contest for student in Vietnam's University. Joined in HUGS since 2013, and started development of AGRIBUDDY application.
Tomas is a software engineer from Lithuania. He studied Computer science in University of Southampton and National University of Singapore and worked freelance before moving to Cambodia. Specializing in graphics and image processing, he worked in the area before joining Agribuddy to work on the web application.
Fiphon Phat was born in 1988 at Siem Reap, Cambodia. After finishing high school he started at CUS University where he graduated in 2006 with a degree in Hotel Hospitality. The next year he founded a free foreign language school and orphanage called CHRES VILLAGE SCHOOL & ORPHANAGE. Fiphon joined the AGRIBUDDY team in 2010. From the start Fiphon role was to talk to farmers around the country to figure out how AGRIBUDDY can help them, and helping people is something Fiphon loves to do. After six years Fiphon’s role has changed but his passion for improving the lives of the people hasn’t.
Born in Battambang, Cambodia to a farming family, Nary Thy attended high school there, learning English from the monks at the local pagoda. While her extended family said she should stay on the farm, her parents supported her desire to move to Siem Reap to learn accounting at Angkor University. In 2012 this country girl made her parents proud, as she became the first of her family to get a university degree. Now, she’s busy as Agribuddy’s accountant and continues to make her parents proud and to keep the books balanced.
Soheng was born in rural area in Siem Reap along the way to Tonle Sap lake and went to local school also volunteer as an English teacher in one small NGO school in her village at that time she met her sponsors name Lee & Merril provided a chance to improve her English at ACE and finished IELTS course. Now she is in final year at university of Economics & Finance skill in Build Bright University which is being supported by her sponsors. Soheng has found her job at Agribuddy really interesting to learn and do new thing and also has improved her self to work as accountant at Agribuddy, not only accountant also lots of skills in social skill with every people around her.
Barang born in 1995 in rural area in Siem Reap and moved to live in town of the same province in 2015 in CWASS NGO as her home to continue her study at university as Banking & Finance at Build Bright University. She started at Agribuddy as a call agent she found really exciting to make communication with farmer and help them better to know and use Agribuddy tool, she has improved her self to be a very attractive communicator. She is willing to do better in her life that can help her self and family to be better.
Hongseng Soy was born in 1974 at Khorm pongcham, Combodia .Hong Seng moved to Siem Reap on 2012. He stopped studying in 7th grade at Cherng Chnork secondary. In 1990 Hong Seng worked as a driver in a private company in the city PP until 2010. In 2011 he began farming in Siem Reap. In July 2014,Hong Seng joined the company in Hugs Co. Ltd. September 2016 joined the Agribuddy until now. He have a good relationship with farmer in his area.
Sopheak SRAS was born in 1987 at Battambang, Cambodia, finished hight school in 2005 he started at Build Bright University (BBU) he graduated 2009 with a degree Finance and Banking. he worked as Client Service Officer at Vision Fund Cambodia in 2008. after 6 month he be came District Branch Manager until 2013. in 2014 he worked as Advisor of Social Enterprise for Tuek Saat 1001 NGO. Sopheak Jointed the AGRIBUDDY in the end of 2016. Sopheak family background are farmer. he love farming and exchange his experience to social. he worked last 8 years related with farmer. he want to change mindset of khmer farmers to be good standard living and peace of mind.
